It was about time to get back to business! Finally, you are open and ready to host your patients. And for sure you have published your “house rules” over the social media and in your website so that you reassure your patients that it is safe to visit you. Probably you also have already restarted your usual reminder call or SMS to confirm each appointment booked.
In the “new normal” some things have definitely changed in the way you are welcoming them but maybe not everyone is aware of your rules. So besides reminding them about the time for the appointment, make sure that each patient is aware of your practice rules one day ahead of visiting you.
Send them an email with your rules
Describe them in a few words what they are expected to do regarding:
- The time they should be entering your practice
- In which cases they are allowed to be accompanied
- The mandatory use of mask / gloves
- Hand washing instructions
- Any other info they should be aware of
In case you do not have their email address, you can use the reminder call to ask for it.
Make sure that neither you nor your patients come across any inconvenient discussions during their “journey” inside your practice
Remember: Caring for your patients’ safety demonstrates respect for them, establishes professionalism and builds loyalty.
